Fans of “Breaking Bad” are familiar with the color blue and what it symbolizes. Now, a mother in New Mexico says her two young boys were kicked out of school; suspended, for bringing in candy inspired by the hit TV show.
10 year old Gabriel and 9 year old Christian would usually be at school today. Instead, they’re at home on two and a half day suspensions from Reginald Chavez Elementary School in Albuquerque. Their mom Virginia thinks the whole thing was blown out of proportion.
Gabriel says he brought the blue rock candy to school to share with his friends. The problem administrators say, is that the blue crystals were being marketed as “breaking bad” candy. But, when asked if he knew what “Breaking Bad” is, 10 year old Gabriel said, “No, not really.”
